I have asked the questions many times...
What is to come?...
Am I strong enough to fight against the unknown?
I am armed... with many weapons. My wall displays very prominate weapons,
A sword that can slash through the hardest concrete. Blades that have seen me through enenmies.
Blades that have protected me through combat, trial and tribulation!
Have struck at God... and have cut Him.
If there be a warrior who wishes to meet me in combat,
Who wishes to see their blood upon the length of my sword,
Let that warrior come forth, and I shall show them the color of their bloood
Upon the solid length of the cold steel of my sword.

Still you trust in muscle and sharpness of blades,
Dance ancient weapons in morning glades.
Keep your cutlery tied to the wall,
Though it slashed through your enemies, God and all.
Unknown the opponent sealed to your fate.
Unknown the key to unlock this new gate.
Number your heart beats, christen each breath.
You'll know your own blood before you meet death.
Clarity of thought, heightening of sense,
Rapid assessment serve for defense.
So peace little brother, with back to the wall,
Eyes on the door, feet set gainst a fall.
Some combat's unspoken, some warriors unfaced.
Your soul can't be broken, nor memory erased.
Incanting the strength of those gone before,
Sufficient character and wit to out pour.
Ask no more question of what is to come.
Doubt not your totaling up to the sum.
Let cheer rule your heart and peace set the tone,
To quench any warrior, the known and unknown.

Unknown, the opponent sealed to your fate.
Untried, the key to unlock this new gate.
Number your heart beats, christen each breath.
You'll taste your own blood before you meet death.
Clarity of thought, heightening of sense,
Rapid assessment serve for defense.
So peace little brother, with back to the wall,

I Like it just fine
I dig that shit! The last four lines are fuckin' great, Jason. I have one critique, however. There seems to be a mixed feeling to the whole thing. It begins with a theme of uncertainty, apprehension and quickly shifts into confidence and assurance of skill. I'm not sure about the reference to Kill Bill either. I do love the imagery though. Good things. (8^D
